Woods‘ new Ditch Bank Rotary Cutters boast 40 horsepower of cutting power, which the company says is the highest rated in their class.
The cutters can be raised or lowered 90 degrees for maintaining such areas as ditches, roadways, ponds and waterways. They can be extended hydraulically to 30 inches for longer reach. That gives a total reach of about 15 feet from the center of the tractor to the outside of the cutter.
The company’s DBH6.31 cutter is the only model on the market with a 6-foot cutting width, Woods says. The company also offers a 5-foot model, the DBH5.31. Both can cut brush up to 2 inches in diameter.
They feature Woods’ Quick-Change system that allows operators to change blades from the top of the deck with a ¾-inch wrench. A hydraulic cooling system is optional to prevent overheating in extreme conditions.
The cutters are designed for tractors with 60 to 150 horsepower. They have a transport width of about 10 feet with no frame overhang.
