Stellar Industries’s TM28 tire manipulator attaches to a forklift or loader to handle large mining and construction tires.

Available in either a long or short arm version, the TM28 has rated capacity of 28,000 pounds. It features a 110-degree body rotation and 360-degree continuous rotating pads. The clamping span ranges from 38 to 171 inches. Access panels provide easy access to pad rotation motors.

The unit came at the request of customers wanting Stellar to enter the loader- and forklift-mounted market, says Tim Davison, sales and marketing manager. Operators use a fully-proportional radio remote control to guide the unit.

An optional side shift feature allows operators to easily make small adjustments 8 inches to the right or left to better align the tire on the hub. It can also be attached to existing equipment, eliminating the need for a dedicated machine.

Other features include an accessory mounting rail for items such as cameras and lights and hydraulic fall back protection, designed to hold large tires in place.
