Okada America and Rotar International BV have joined forces to expand their demolition attachment businesses.

The companies say the alliance will mean more options for customers for demolition, recycling and scrap yard attachments and increase the companies’ ability to service current and future customers.

Under the agreement, Okada will provide sales, service, parts and warranty support for Rotar products, along with continuing to support Okada products. Okada has 200 U.S. and Canadian distributorships.

Okada President Jim Brown sees the Rotar lineup as a complement to Okada’s attachments.

“Rotar’s demolition, recycling, scrap-handling and mobile shear products are field-proven for performance and reliability,” Brown says. “And they are backed by Rotar’s years of quality manufacturing experience.”

Louis Broekhuizen, Rotar commercial director, export, returned the compliment, saying Okada has been a leader in the attachment industry for more than 20 years. “Okada has a great reputation, and we are proud to be a part of this great alliance.”

Rotar is based in the Netherlands and manufactures a range of hydraulic attachments for excavators and wheel loaders, including those for the demolition, recycling and scrap markets.

Okada offers a variety of attachments for excavators, backhoes, skid steers and compact track and compact utility loaders, including breakers, crushers, demolition shears, pulverizers, processors, compactors and screening buckets.
