Local Governments, Nonprofits Can Spruce Up With $100K Prize From Kubota

Local governments and nonprofits can get a much-needed $100,000 boost and win a community revitalization grant from Kubota Tractor.

The “Hometown Proud” program will also provide the winner with the use of Kubota equipment to refresh a public space, Kubota says. The deadline is April 27th.

Eligible community projects include parks, playgrounds, sports fields and community arenas. Five finalists will compete in a public vote in May, and the community project with the highest combined score from points and votes will be awarded the grant during Summer 2021. Details are here.

“We know times have been tough over the past year,” says Todd Stucke, Kubota senior vice president, marketing, product support and strategic projects. “Just like for our dealer network and the communities they serve, we know municipalities and nonprofits never stopped working to provide support.” Stucke says the Hometown Proud program is intended to bring a community project to life for one local area.

Applications for the grant must be made by an authorized officer or employee with the legal authority to act on behalf of the municipality or nonprofit. Project photos and organization information will be part of the application.

In May, the public will be invited to cast a vote for one of the top five finalist projects. Every voter will be automatically entered into a sweepstakes for a chance to win a Kubota residential Z200 Series zero-turn mower or BX Series subcompact tractor.

The community project with the highest combined score from points and votes will be announced as the winner in July.
