K-Tec intros Tricerabox tractor box blade as a lower-cost dozer alternative

K-Tec Tricerabox

K-Tec Earthmover‘s Tricerabox is a 14-foot-wide box blade that mounts to the 3-point hitch of a 500-horsepower-plus tractor.

The Tricerabox has three functions: a leveling box that pulls material forward, ripper teeth that sink down into the soil, and blade backwards for pushing dozing material.

The attachment can level out uneven cut zones, preparing a productive loading area for greater scraper productivity.

The seven ground ripper shanks are hydraulically lowered for ripping up hard soil and aerating wet jobsites. Using the back blade, the operator can backfill soil to smooth out cut and fill zones.

The three-point hitch can be modified to include a scraper hitch, allowing the tractor to be used as bulk dirt hauler behind a scraper.

K-Tec compares the tractor/Tricerabox combination to a dozer, saying it burns less fuel, reduces undercarriage costs by a minimum of 50 percent and offers higher speed capabilities around the cut zone.
