If you want to turn your skid steer, compact track loader or compact utility loader (also known as a mini skid steer) into a trencher, Skid Steer Solutions is now offering Digga Bigfoot Trencher attachments.
The trenchers, manufactured by Australia-based Digga, come in three models, with max cutting depths ranging from 3 to 4 feet. They can be used for such tasks as laying irrigation pipe and underground power and communications lines, making road repairs and for general construction.
Features on the models include an Eaton motor, a three-preset depth-control foot for consistent depth, and a large spoil auger for efficient spoil removal. The depth foot can be seen from the cab. The frame can be side shifted for digging close to permanent structures, and a patented Head Start Crumber System allows trenching to begin with the crumber down so the operator doesn’t have to leave the cab.
Three chain options are available, with widths ranging from 4 to 12 inches:
Earth – has a cup tooth on every second station for efficient trenching in earth.
Combination – has a combination of earth and tungsten teeth for trenching in rocky earth conditions.
Diggatac – Full tungsten teeth on every station for trenching in concrete, asphalt and frozen ground.
