Cat appoints new VP of Building Construction Products division

Caterpillar Inc. announced the appointment of Tony Fassino as vice president of its Building Construction Products (BCP) Division. Fassino replaces Ken Hoefling, who recently left the company to pursue other opportunities.

“Tony brings great product knowledge and a strong focus on quality to this role, which combined with his deep marketing and dealer background, make him ideally suited to lead BCP,” says Bob De Lange, Caterpillar group president of Construction Industries in a press release. “Tony is also known as a collaborative leader who makes fact-based decisions with a determination to help our customers succeed.”

Fassino holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Bradley University and has more than 20 years with Cat in assorted roles, most recently general manager for Cat’s forestry products group. He also spent five years based in Japan as a new product introduction manager for hydraulic excavators.

Fassino will assume his new role on March 1.
