As a follow-up to last year’s introduction of the Harvest Edition, a special package created for farmers and their families on the 1500, 2500 and 3500 pickups, Ram Truck has announced that it has now brought the package to its chassis cab trucks.
Head of Ram Brand Jim Morrison says the Harvest Edition trucks address “a direct request from farmers.”
The Harvest Edition trucks come in two limited colors, Case IH Red and New Holland Blue, which are designed to match those companies’ agricultural equipment. You’ll also be able to get these trucks in black, or white.
Aside from the special hues, Harvest Edition trucks come with large front tow hooks, a transfer-case skid plate, side steps, fog lamps and a rear backup camera. Chrome highlights on these trucks include the headlights, grille, side steps, door handles and mirrors. The trucks ride on polished aluminum wheels (18-inch on 3500, 19.5-inch on 4500 and 5500).
The trucks also feature a 7-inch reconfigurable cluster which allows drivers to monitor selected systems such as filter life, engine hours and operating temperatures. An 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen display is an available option, bringing 4G WiFi capability, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, navigation, and Sirius Weather with up-to-the minute weather maps and forecasts.
The Harvest Edition package will be available on Ram 3500 (SRW and DRW), 4500 and 5500 (DRW, 60-inch and 80-inch cab-to-axle lengths) chassis cab trucks in all four-door Crew Cab and two-door regular cab configurations. Available powertrains include 4×4 versions of the 6.4-liter Hemi V8 or the 6.7L Cummins turbo diesel.
Here are the starting prices for each Harvest Edition chassis cab model:
- Ram 3500 MSRP starts at $43,990
- Ram 4500 MSRP starts at $48,140
- Ram 5500 MSRP starts at $49,240
