3 Trade Shows to Show Up For in 2020

Would you like a working vacation? Time to blow off some steam and learn about the newest trends and greatest innovations in the contracting and construction industries? Consider attending a trade show, where you can get up to speed on the latest methods, updates and knowledge available, browse cutting edge products and services and network with other general contractors. If you’re looking for nationally acclaimed trade shows going on in 2020, chances are high you’re headed to Las Vegas.

CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2020

This triennial expo is billed as the largest in the construction industry, covering all things masonry and more. From asphalt to concrete, earthmoving to lifting, utilities and other considerations, the expo is to be held from March 10 through March 14 in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Las Vegas Convention Center and Las Vegas Fairgrounds. The cost to attend varies. General admittance is $149 prior to January 17th, rising to $195 if purchased prior to March 9th and $249 after. All access passes start at $593 prior to January 17th and rise accordingly after that date and after March 9th, but include education access, which, with the general admittance passes, must be purchased separately for an additional fee. More information, including how to obtain tickets, can be seen on the expos website.

AGC Annual Conference

The Association of General Contractors is holding its conference at the same place and nearly the same time as CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2020 — Las Vegas, Nevada from March 9 through March 12th, 2020. Covering a broader range of contracting and construction topics than the expo, the AGC Annual Conference will be held at the Bellagio Resort and Casino. Registration is required. Pricing is highly variable depending on whether you’re a member of the association and when you purchase your spot, as well as whether you’re staying on site or at a separate hotel. For more information and to register, check out the AGC Conferences official website.

INTEX Expo 2020

Do walls and ceilings make up the bulk of your work? If so, you might want to pay a visit to the INTEX Expo. Like the other trade shows, it seems that Las Vegas is the destination of choice for 2020, with the expo to be held at the Paris Las Vegas Conference Center on March 25 and 26. Information on registration and pricing will be available in late November 2019 or early December 2019 through the Association of Walls and Ceiling Industry (AWCI)’s official website, here or the official INTEX Expo website, here.

Conventions and Trade Shows in 2020

Many organizations are cashing in on the ability to hold their events in Las Vegas on or around the same time as other major trade shows this year, making it the destination of choice for contractors this upcoming year.

If a month-long Vegas vacation isn’t in your business travel budget, don’t fret: Local chapters of organizations often hold their own expos and conventions closer to home. To find out about upcoming expos and conventions for general contractors in your area, reach out to national or regional organizations catering to contractors to see what’s on their calendars, or peruse the upcoming events section of contracting websites and magazines to find a gathering that works for you.

Are you planning on attending any trade conferences next year? If so, which ones?
