Time to Drill with the Mini Skid Steer? Danuser Has New EP Augers for That

Danuser has a new auger line for compact utility loaders, also known as mini skid steers.

The company says the EP Auger System’s planetary gear drive makes the augers stronger than previous models and competitors’, with increased torque for drilling in hard-packed surfaces. Models range from 1,774 to 4,426 foot-pounds of torque.

The company says the drive also has maintenance check and fill plugs that are easy to access. It also manufactured the output spindle as one piece, enabling it to provide a lifetime warranty for output spindle pullout. The auger itself has a five-year warranty.

Danuser makes four models in its EP range, with diameters of 24, 30 and 36 inches. Required hydraulic flow ranges from 6 to 35 gallons per minute and from 1,500 to 3,500 psi.

They also come in lengths to fit the size of your CUL. The 4-foot-long augers are for CULs with 72 or more inches of hinge pin height, and a 3-foot-long auger is for those with a shorter hinge pin height.

The augers are compatible with 2-inch hex auger bits. The mounts come with all of the needed housing. Mounts are also available for front-end loaders, backhoes, excavators and standard skid steers.
