Limited-space job constrictions are ideal territory for Komatsu America’s reduced-tail-swing-radius PC88MR-11 excavator. Its swing boom design also allows digging parallel to buildings or barriers.
Powered by a 67.7-horsepower Komatsu engine, the machine has up to 13% lower fuel consumption compared with its predecessor, the PC88MR-10. A catalytic system removes soot without a diesel particulate filter.
The PC88MR-11 has six working modes to help you tailor the machine’s engine output to the job. Komatsu says productivity has been increased up to 9% in P (power) mode and up to 2% in E, or economy, mode.
The machine features a faster boom up/swing speed, combined with responsive quick arm speed, Komatsu says. The standard auxiliary circuit now has up to 12% greater hydraulic flow than its predecessor.
The climate controlled cab features an air suspension seat, Bluetooth radio, USB port and a high resolution monitor with standard rearview camera. Operators can easily exit through a sliding cab door. LED lamps are standard equipment.
Larger service doors provide easier access to ground-level service points. The auxiliary hydraulic circuit return filter and windshield washer tank have been relocated for easier maintenance access. In addition, the fuel tank filter port now has a new locking fuel tank cover.
